Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-08-26
This policy covers data that state consumer-health-data laws (e.g. Washington's My Health My Data Act, Nevada SB 370) may treat as consumer health data. It is provided as a separate policy, in addition to our general Privacy Policy.
1. Categories of consumer health data we collect, and why
Foot measurements you capture (foot length, width, and instep height in millimeters) and data derived from them (estimated shoe size and foot-shape category). Collected and used for one purpose: computing shoe-fit ratings and size recommendations you request. For the default camera/LiDAR scan, measurements are computed on your device; we never collect video, depth maps, meshes, or 3D models of your feet. Scan-review photos are stored on your device and — while you are signed in with photo backup on (the default) — in your account's private server storage, readable only by your own account and used solely to show you your scans; turning backup off in Profile → Privacy & data deletes the server copies, and deleting a scan or your data deletes them too. The optional "Analyze a photo" feature additionally sends the single photo you choose to a third-party AI processor to estimate foot shape; the processor deletes it within 30 days and does not retain or train on it, and we keep it only as your device copy and your account backup (see §4).
2. Sources
Directly from you: your device's camera/LiDAR scan, your manual measurement entry, your size estimate, or a photo you choose to upload for the optional AI shape analysis. No other sources.
3. Categories of consumer health data we share
None. We do not sell or share your consumer health data. Community statistics (e.g. "feet like yours") are computed only from aggregated, de-identified data that does not identify you.
4. Third parties and affiliates
We do not sell or share your consumer health data, and we have no advertising affiliates. We use processors that act only on our behalf, under contract, to operate the service: our hosting provider stores your measurements; and, only if you use the optional "Analyze a photo" feature, an AI provider (Anthropic) receives that one photo transiently to return a foot-shape estimate and deletes it within 30 days.
5. Your rights and how to exercise them
You may (a) confirm whether we collect your consumer health data and access it — in the app under Profile → Privacy & data → "Export my data (JSON)"; (b) withdraw consent — Profile → Privacy & data → "Withdraw consent & delete my scans" (withdrawal also deletes stored measurements); (c) delete your data — "Delete my data" or "Delete my account" in the same screen, or use our Data & Privacy Rights page, or email hello@glassshoe.app. We honor requests within the time your state's law requires; if we refuse, you may appeal by replying "Appeal", and if the appeal is denied you may contact your state Attorney General.
This policy mirrors the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy presented in the Glass Shoe app. If the two ever differ, the version presented in the app at the time of your acceptance governs.
