Accessibility Statement
Glass Shoe is committed to making our website and app usable by everyone, including people with disabilities.
Conformance target
This website is designed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508. We aim to meet or exceed these success criteria across all pages.
What we've done
- Semantic HTML structure with landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer) and a logical heading order.
- A "Skip to main content" link and consistent, keyboard-operable navigation on every page.
- Visible keyboard focus indicators on all interactive elements.
- Text and interface colors meet AA contrast ratios (at least 4.5:1 for body text) in both light and dark modes.
- Links in body text are underlined, so their meaning never depends on color alone.
- Forms have programmatically associated labels, clear instructions, and errors announced to screen readers.
- Content reflows without loss at 320 px width and up to 200% zoom, and respects your text-spacing overrides.
- Animations are minimal and honor your "reduce motion" system setting.
- Touch targets are at least 44 × 44 pixels.
- The page language is set, and the site works with common screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA, TalkBack).
In the app
The Glass Shoe iOS app supports Dynamic Type, VoiceOver labels and traits, sufficient contrast, and reduced-motion. Selection controls expose their selected state to assistive technology, and the foot-scan flow offers a non-camera manual entry path.
Known limitations
We're continually improving. If you encounter a page or feature that isn't fully accessible, please tell us — we treat accessibility barriers as bugs and prioritize fixing them.
Report a barrier / request an accommodation
Email hello@glassshoe.app with the page or feature, what happened, and the assistive technology or browser you were using. We aim to respond within 5 business days and will work with you to provide the information or function in an accessible way.
Assessment
This statement reflects self-assessment against WCAG 2.2 AA. It was last reviewed on 2026-07-05. As we add features, we test with keyboard-only navigation, screen readers, and automated checks.
